Biography, scientific achievements

Specialist in the field of theoretical and experimental mineralogy, mineralogical crystallography and crystallogenesis. Received new data on the processes and mechanisms of crystal formation. He laid the foundations of a new evolutionary trend in crystallography and crystallogenesis. Established patterns of growth of artificial crystals at the stage of regeneration. He proposed new methods for the rational use of natural crystalline raw materials, the synthesis of crystals and the regulation of their properties. He contributed to the problem of genetic interpretation of the characteristics of crystal growth, to the disclosure of patterns and conditions of natural crystal formation. Developed new morphological, crystal-physical and anatomical indicators of the genesis of diamond, beryl, quartz and other minerals.
