Biography, scientific achievements

He created a scientific school on integrated ecological-geographical analysis and mapping of complex environmental problems and situations. Under the leadership of B.I. Kochurov, on a single methodological basis, the first ecological maps of the USSR, Russia and other countries and regions were created (more than 40 maps in total). He is the head of the scientific direction for the efficiency and culture of nature management. Developed criteria and indicators of the ecological situation of natural environments: soil, water, air, biota, ecosystems, principles and methods of ecodiagnostics of natural and anthropogenic landscapes and ecosystems. Works in the field of energy efficiency and nature management, environmentally safe and balanced development of the country and regions, geoecological forecasting, land use, land management and organization of the territory, land law and land use, urban ecology, problems of global nature and climate change.

Total number of publications: more than 500, including 12 monographs and manuals, articles in the Scopus database - 28, Chemical Abst. - 31. Hirsch index according to RSCI - 28, according to Scopus - 4.
