Biography, scientific achievements

In 1982 he defended his Ph.D. thesis with the award of a scientific Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, and in  1999 & nbsp; doctoral dissertation with the assignment of scientific degree doctor of technical sciences. geodesic specialist, cartography, remote sensing of the Earth. The main field of scientific research - remote sensing of the Earth, theory and methods thematic processing of aerospace information. Author of over 150 scientific papers on remote sensing of the Earth, theory and methods thematic processing of aerospace information. In 1999 awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Higher Education Russian Federation". Laureate of the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation in science and technology for  development and implementation of methods aerospace monitoring of the natural environment (2002). In 2003 assigned  title "Honorary surveyor" (2003). Decree of the administration of the Arkhangelsk region and the mayor Arkhangelsk in 2006  was awarded the Lomonosov Prize for development of methods and technologies for space monitoring of natural complex of the North to develop managerial decisions in the field of protection environment and rational nature management of the northern territories Russia.
B  2007 received the title of "Honorary Worker of Science and technology of the Russian Federation. Is  Vice President Coordinating Council of the Association for Engineering Surveys in construction. Since 2002  was chairman of the dissertation protection advice  doctoral and master's theses on specialty «Geoecology»  (technical science).
