Biography, scientific achievements

Born in 1944. Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Honored scientist of the Republic of Tatarstan. Head of the Department of Applied Ecology, Kazan State University, Head accredited by the State Standard of Russia laboratory of environmental KSU control.

The area of scientific interests of V.Z. Latypova – ecology, environmental regulation, biogeochemistry of natural systems under conditions external disturbances, environmental monitoring. V.Z. Latypova created new scientific direction and significant scientific results have been obtained in interdisciplinary field of ecology and nature management. First identified and quantitatively described the patterns of electoral absorption of trace elements in the process of their involvement in biogenic migration, patterns of matter and energy transfer in water ecosystems of various types (regulated and unregulated runoff, with varying degrees of anthropogenic development of watersheds and structural and functional organization), etc. A major contribution to science and practice are justified and created by V.Z. Latypova new approaches and criteria for environmental regulation of the anthropogenic load on aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems to protect biological systems. her a number of important works on the ecology of the largest reservoirs of the Middle Volga region, waste landfills, sludge maps of biological treatment facilities, oil regions, etc. New methods developed formed the basis of the Ministry of Natural resources of the Russian Federation of the experimental method for assessing the hazard class of waste and are widely used in the environmental practice of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation. Headed into republic, the development of a concept and program of environmental safety Republic of Tatarstan for the period up to 2015.

Latypova is the author and co-author of more than 440 scientific papers in domestic and international publications, including 3 study guides, 13 monographs, including those published under her editorship, 12 copyright certificates and 2 RF patents. Of these, since 1989 more than 320 works – in the field of ecology. Under the leadership of V.Z. Latypova 3 doctoral and 24 candidate dissertations were defended.
